Sheep all over Skipton! - Skipton is Sheep Town from August to November 2010
Flock to Skipton is a mass public appeal art event featuring 25 sheep sculptures of sheep on the streets of Skipton from 21 August - 14 November 2010.
2010 UPDATE - THE FLOCK TO SKIPTON SHEEP EVENT HAS BEEN EXTENDED BY PUBLIC DEMAND UNTIL THE 19th DECEMBER 2010.
Skipton is located along the course of both the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the River Aire, on the south side of the Yorkshire Dales.

The sheep sculptures are made of fibreglass and are normally decorated with paints and other materials and then finished to be weatherproof. Most of the sheep will be sited in outdoor locations around the town, although some will be located indoors but will still be freely accessible to the public, such as in a shop window.

They are 5 foot wide and when on the concrete plinth, they stand nearly 5 foot tall.
